On 12 January 2023, Asia Centre and 5 Thai universities including Maejo University, Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, Chulalongkorn University, Prince of Songkla University and Uttaradit Rajabhat University signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their cooperation on ASEAN Digital Literacy Programme and explore opportunities for future collaboration including other joint activities and research outputs. In December 2022, Asia Centre successfully delivered 5 training sessions to over 100 Master Trainers in Thailand. Asia Centre Kicks-off Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Trainings in Malaysia

Asia Centre has begun convening Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Trainings for Master Trainers in Malaysia. In collaboration with Google and ASEAN Foundation, these trainings, which make up the “ASEAN Digital Literacy Programme (ADLP)”, seek to build resilience against disinformation among underserved communities in Malaysia. Aiming to train around 200 people, the first training session was held on the 23rd of November 2022 for  32 academic staff of the University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM), followed by another joint session with the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), UniKL and Taylor’s University Malaysia for its 15 students and lecturers.  The training were…
