About the Role
The Asia Centre is seeking a Programme Coordinator (PC), a Thai national, who can speak and write in English and can support the organisation of events, training sessions, speaking engagements and other activities. Event management includes drafting event concept notes and programme outlines, promoting and marketing of events, coordinating with speakers and participants and undertaking logistical preparations related to the event. The programme coordinator will prepare event budgets, identify and seek quotations for event venues and caterers, coordinate domestic and international travel, manage technical equipment during an event, and liaise with other Asia Centre team members. Tasks also include drafting the end-of-event reports, designing and implementing pre and post-event surveys, liaising with donors and reconciling event expenses with the project budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the conceptualisation and planning of seminars, conferences, speaking engagements, and training.
- Liaise with speakers, trainers, participants, sponsors, donors, and vendors for all events.
- Contribute to events management by executing all logistical, catering and travel arrangements necessary for a successful event.
- Design promotional materials for all activities and market them through the organisation’s website, email and social media channels.
- Undertake pre and post-event surveys and write end-of-event reports.
- Support in the administration and financial management of the Centre’s events, training sessions, and speaking engagements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in events management, public relations, communications, tourism and hospitality, or similar qualifications in social sciences and humanities.
- Minimum three years of work experience.
- Excellent oral, written and public presentation skills in English.
- Experience in drafting event concept notes, programme outlines, event reports and proposals.
- Advanced organisational skills and the ability to coordinate events, and invite speakers, trainers and participants.
- Able to manage logistics, catering, accommodation and travel.
- Strong communication and marketing skills, including expertise with Google Workspace, MS Office tools, WordPress, Meta (FB, IG, WA), LinkedIn, X, familiarity with TikTok, Zoom, CANVA, all forms of social media, and other relevant softwares.
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Following the interview, a timed, written assessment will be issued as part of a proficiency test. A further interview and final selection will be made thereafter.
